Painted Wood Cabinetry Disclaimer

Please note that wood is a natural material that expands and contracts over time. This process is particularly noticeable on painted cabinetry, such as the Princeton and Lancaster lines, and may result in open joints in the painted finish. These open joint lines are not considered defects and are widely recognized within the kitchen cabinetry industry as a normal characteristic of painted all-wood cabinets. The finish will continue to protect the surface, and the structural integrity of the joint will remain intact.

Because wood expansion and contraction can vary from cabinet to cabinet, even joints within the same cabinet may behave differently. Some joints may not show visible lines, some may display slightly visible lines, and others may show more pronounced lines.

Joint lines may also develop over time from repeated impacts during normal use. Prolonged exposure to water or excessive moisture can damage open wood joints; therefore, it is important to wipe away any moisture from cabinet surfaces immediately.

Discoloration Notice:
Painted finishes, particularly lighter colors, are susceptible to discoloration caused by airborne particles such as cooking residues, grilling smoke, tobacco smoke, fireplaces, or candle soot. Extended exposure to natural or artificial light can also alter the finish color. Additionally, moisture can contribute to discoloration of the painted surface.
